Though fielding three teams in the 10-team round robin, Bullwinkle were unable to halt the Excessive Epicness juggernaut. Tyson’s team of flamboyant ukulele-wielders were deserved winners of Division One, with Gold Coast second and Bullwinkle third. David Smerdon (8½/9) took out the board one prize for Bullwinkle. (Excessive Epicness won all the others!)

Division Two saw Bullwinkle finish first ahead of Logan/Redlands and All Juniors. All defeats are being blamed on the fact that we neglected to name our teams prior to the event.

In terms of milestones, Nicholas Johnson made his Bullwinkle debut. Stuart Holt, David Smerdon and Henry Slater-Jones all played their 20^th rapid games for the club, thereby entering the Hall of Fame. Regina Edwards played her 50^th! Brian Thomas returned to Bullwinkle after a decade’s absence.
